To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Does Blepharitis ever just go away My beautiful little boy is 5 years old and has always had the most beautiful long black eyelashes. One day approximately 6 months ago I started noticing along his lash line would stay “crusty”, I just figured it was allergies and would clean it up, but it kept coming back. I got online and started reading about blepharitis and thought it sounded like what he had so I took him to his Pediatrician and sure enough he agreed and told me the normal treatments which we do faithfully. My question is “Does it ever just go away?” He has lost some of his lashes, and from most everything I read online there is no cure. Has anyone else out there tried anything and had more success, other than the baby shampoo and warm compresses? We also put an eye lubricant on his lash line that keeps it moisturized and the flakiness down, but I don’t want my little boy to go through this forever, and I really don’t want him to lose his eyelashes. Please help. January 2009
