ignoring my diabetes

I am a 52 year old woman with diabetes. I was diagnose when I was in my 30’s. I admit, I really depise having diabetes. Most of the time I ignore it. It is a pain in the butt! I am suppose to take oral insulin, but stopped along time ago because I had no health insurance and couldnt afford my meds. I lost 100 lbs when I was first diagnosed, and have kept it off for the most part of 15 yrs. But I have no energy especially after I eat and very easily and quickly get sleepy.
My job requires me to work long hours and its very hard to eat right and on time. I eat sometimes late like around 8 pm.
I really dont know what to do anymore. I feel so overwhelmed by it most of the time and its effecting everything and one around me. Please tell me others feel this way and its just not me..
