To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download retinitis pigmentosa I have just been diagnosed with having retinitis pigmentosa. I’m 25 and have always been fairly healthy and it’s a big shock to me. I’m an engineer in the Air Force and I haven’t told work yet. I have only just been to the optician and he gave me a letter to take to my doctor but I don’t know whether to give it to him yet. I don’t want to lose my job and for them to stop me driving. I’m just not sure what to do, should I just carry on with my life as normal and not tell my doctor? If there is no cure then what is the point is going to see him anyway? August 2007
